woah, what happened…?

do you remember when you were born? probably not. do you remember when the universe was born? probably the same answer. but do you remember when the ansiverse came into existence? i promise you, you will.

what is the ansiverse?

the ansiverse is the universe of ansible, a powerful configuration management tool. as a security and network engineer, i have been using ansible for years to automate management of thousands of routers and linux endpoints. with the recent explosion of ai agents, the possibilities have become endless.

ai agents?

yes, i like to use codex and claude code to automate my work. they are super powerful now. you can set it and forget it, or create a remote session for on-the-go-coding

what to expect from this blog

my background is in security and networking, but I have many other interests. i travel between the US and Portugal. i practice martial arts and love to draw parallels to security. i am passionate about empowering the little guy against bullies. hardening seemingly fragile systems into walled gardens. i will share my thoughts on each of these subjects as life goes on.

what projects am i working on?

my focus now is on star-scanner, a raspberry Pi IDS that sits inline between an endpoint and a router. i have created a github account for this. just working on making the code clean and generic for public use. i have always wanted to create an IDS, and agentic ai has really made that possible.

where am i?

i split time between the US and Portugal. i’ll be including some of my travel experiences as well. some will be security related. some may not be. this makes things more fun!
